Black Box Reflection

This is one of my favourite images from the Black Box presentation. It shows how colour and different shades of grey can be used to indicate different parts of and exploded axonometric drawing. This relates well with our experiment 2 exercises with axonometric drawings. This drawing on vellum shows a great amount of detail. The terrain map underneath the exploded axonometric shows the building how it would sit in its surroundings, but because it is a light colour it doesn’t detract attention from the actual building design.

Hundertwasserhaus Wien

Hundertwasserhaus is an apartment house in Vienna, Austria designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser built between 1983 to 1986. I think it is an example of inspirational architecture and interesting aesthetics.
