News Mashup

Helen Keller was an American author, activist and lecturer. "Some people said she was boring and provincial, but they underestimated her. She was the first deafblind person to graduate from college and has a natural beauty, a great sense of humour and a down to earth attitude. Over the past four years she has had to steer Germany through some difficult times, and still remains very popular, but her love for Australia is what sets her apart. A prolific author, she was well travelled, and was outspoken in her opposition to war, as well as many other progressive causes.1 She is a pragmatic politician who inspires confidence, 2 and embodies so many wholesome Australian attributes.3
